Trip to Glasgow Warriors

by Thomas Cunningham

From Morton Houston

Preparations are well under way for Cumnock RFC mini/micro trip up to Glasgow Warriors on 11th December to see them play Montpellier in the Heineken Cup. We currently have nearly 120 players and parents attending.

The highlight of the day will be seeing out P5 and P6 teams playing games at half time in front of over 4000 supporters. All P5 and P6 players should come dressed to play a game below warm clothing and with boots in a boot bag. The will have to change at the side of the pitch so they will need warm over clothes to wear once they come off.

All those going are strongly advised to check the weather and to dress accordingly.

Children attending will be the responsibility of parents (and not coaches except on the park) however everyone should be aware that those attending will be representing Cumnock RFC.

We have buses arranged to take us to the game. All parents or non club members should pay £5 for the bus. Parents can either obtain their ticket on line at the Glasgow Warriors site (£15) or on the day at Firhill (£20). Seating is not reserved so is available on a first come first served basis. All players will travel for free and all minis and micros will be provided with a free ticket. The club will sit together at half way down near the front next to Helensburgh who will have similar numbers there.

Travel arrangements are as follows:

Pick up CRFC: 10:45am
Pick up Auchinleck 11:00 (Bus spaces at Auchinleck will only be reserved if parents have informed me that they wished picked up here, please contact me if you wish to do this)
Pick up Mauchline: 11:05am (Bus spaces at Mauchline will only be reserved if parents have informed me that they wished picked up here, please contact me if you wish to do this)
