yipworld.com is very proud to launch the opening of the PULSE recording studio funded by the BIG Lottery Fund and the Cumnock and Doon Valley Minerals Trust. Over 120 people attended the high profile event on Monday 10th November in yipworld.com premises where the studio is based. Adam Ingram MSP officially opened the high tech facility, which has Protools HD system running on a control 24 mixing desk.

Musical talent was in abundance with the Ayrshire Indie Band 'The Ghosties' providing a melodic masterpiece; Steven McIntyre aka Tragic O'Hara on acoustic guitar and closing performance by young talented Ayrshire vocalist Rebecca Shearing. The Youth Music Forum, consisting of members of yipworld.com was introduced to the audience and were given credit for their excellent commitment to the colour scheme; the logo and the name PULSE.

Mediaspec - The UK Pro Audio specialists based in East Kilbride provided the design and layout of the Studio. Special thanks went to David Scherchen for his outstanding work that resulted in the studio being opened well ahead of schedule.

Provost Stephanie Young; Elected Members; Chief Executive Fiona Lees; Jim Sweeney, Chief Executive of Youthlink Scotland; partner organisations; yipworld.com Board of Directors, Ayr College, staff from local schools, friends and family of yipworld.com were among the many guests on the evening.

The studio is now open for business and already a number of bookings have been received. There are two elements to the service, one is educational where schools in the coalfields communities can access the studio for their pupils free gratis, with concessionary rates to schools based outwith this geographic location. The second element is commercial business where the proceeds and income generation will contribute to the sustainability of the studio and social enterprise business yipworld.com. Prices are extremely competitive.
