Employment through Innovation @ yipworld.com
yipworld.com is delighted to announce that the organisation has been awarded a total of £100,000 from two funding bodies - Ayrshire LEADER and the Coalfield Regeneration Trust to provide an innovative employment/training scheme for young men aged 16 - 22 years. The venture is called Men into Childcare and will be facilitated by a full time training manager also created through this funding.
The concept is to introduce young men to the world of employment via childcare and youth work, contracted at 24 hours per week for the period of one year. Candidates will work within a childcare placement including yipworld.com; work towards qualifications that will enhance their employment prospects; provide a strong and valuable work ethic and discipline culture and encourage them to consider a future career in care; nursing; social work or primary teaching.
The post of training manager will be advertised in local newspapers and an open day for young men interested in the project is being held on TUESDAY 30th MARCH from 10a.m. until 3p.m. This will not secure a placement, but will provide full information on the initiative with sound advice on how to make a good application.
