Countdown on to Cumnock Highland Games
3 AugustThe countdown is on to the 2010 Cumnock Highland Games - this year being held on Sunday 22nd August, marking the 250th anniversary of the town's burgh status.
Entries are being sought for teams to take part in the exciting events on the field.
If you think you're strong enough, get a team of of six together for the tug-o- War competition, which has a first prize of £100 up for grabs for the strongest team.
The Cumnock Highland Games take place at Broomfield Park, Cumnock and this year will feature traditional heavy competitions, pipe bands and displays, stalls and rides, the Golden Lions Parachute Display team and a flypast of a Dakota aircraft. There is also a Tattoo on the evening of 21st August with live music, entertainment and fireworks.
